ATTRACTIONS
Vineyard TOurs
There will be three vineyard tours throughout the day, a great opportunity to learn a little more about how Castlewood Vineyard evolved and it trials and tribulation. Audience participation is very much encouraged and well rewarded!
Festival goers are very much encouraged to explore the vineyards, and woodland. If feeling fit enough, there is a circular walk up to the Iron Age Fort, Musbury Castle. There are breath-taking views from the top, it’s worth taking a drink with you!
on stage wine tasting
Wine tastings will take place on stage around 5pm. This is a great opportunity to sample some of the wines we have available, hear about the vineyards they come from, their production techniques and styles.
free range explorers
Free Range Explorers, love to be outside learning in nature - they have two experienced Forest School Leaders and two trainee FSLs. Spending time outside is great for everyone’s health and helps our little ones grow healthy bodies and minds.
Free Range Explorers have been working with Castlewood for many years now and also using our woodland as their forest school setting throughout the summer. At the festival they’ll be providing a selection of activities for children to enjoy and learn about the woodland surrounding them including wand workshops, nature crafts and apple toasting to name but a few.
MUSBURY CASTLE WALK
Get above the festival site with a trek to one of the highest points along the Axe Valley. With far reaching views to Beer, Axminster and even Exmoor on a clear day, Musbury Castle is the perfect place to break away for a glass of Blanc de Blancs!
